Accommodation

The cottage has a beautiful, beamed sitting-room with a stone fireplace including a massive copper hood creating a cosy retreat to enjoy the expansive views over the harbour and out to sea. The well equipped kitchen diner is right over the cave.

During winter storms, heavy wooden shutters protect the windows, as the waves break on the rocks below. Inside, you are snug in front of a roaring log fire and safe behind thick stone walls, which have faced the sea and been the home for fishermen for centuries.

There are four delightful bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, all with sea views and subdued lighting.

The Beach Terrace is an outstanding feature of the property leading directly from the Beach Room. The rear bbq terrace provides a small secure play area for children, who will find a range of games and toys inside the cottage. Well behaved dogs are very welcome at Willy Wilcox Cottage.

A family bathroom has a bath with shower over.

The rear entrance to the upper floor leads into a utility room for laundry with storage for holiday bits and sandy shoes. Additional to the open fire, there is storage heating in all reception rooms and the main bedrooms. The twin bedrooms have heaters.

Polperro is largely traffic-free but the cottage has a private parking space 400m away. The cottage has wireless broadband.
